OVERVIEW
As advancement professionals, the founding principals of eAdvancement note that institutions often try to solve problems in one advancement discipline without regard to the other two disciplines. It is clear to us that fund-raising problems often have their roots in alumni/constituent relations, and constituent relations issues frequently can be traced to the attitudes developed as a result of the communications effort. With a common commitment to the importance of an integrated approach to the three disciplines of advancement, we formed eAdvancement in the spring of 2000. eAdvancement is a loose federation of independent consultants dedicated to helping build strength in fund raising, constituent relations and communications through an comprehensive approach to advancement issues.
We strive to be innovative, encouraging an entrepreneurial attitude with our clients. Our goal is to help clients solve immediate problems, while building a supportive relationship in which honest and objective feedback is possible no matter how this challenges the status quo. From time to time we will post on this web site ideas and commentary--both original and borrowed with attribution -- for those who desire continuing exposure to cutting edge thinking within our profession.
Since we operate from virtual offices, we have no expensive bureaucracy, or overhead costs to be recovered in our fees. Our principals live across the country, though our past associations and current practice allows effective coordinate of our activities in service to our clients. Though we use a common logo and stationery, there is no central address or telephone number. Clients may reach any of us directly or through one of the other consortium principals. Principals may bring in other members of the consortium as appropriate on a particular assignment, but primary contact on any assignment will be with one consortium principal. What we have in common is our experience and expertise and our desire to help clients create the best possible advancement program for their institution.
